INSPIRED BY THE WEST, ENJOYED EVERYWHERE

Taking inspiration from the west coast winds as it whips through the marram grass, Te Henga Wines was a very natural partnership for me to engage in. My client wanted to showcase the wine in their namesake environment of Bethells Beach, Waitakere.

Our aim was to capture the essence of the unique rugged landscape and the feeling of enjoying a wine with loved ones. Spoilt with a beautiful landscape, natural textures, and golden West Coast light we had an epic day capturing the amazing sand art and Te Henga Wines beautiful new bottles.

A PROMISE TO CARE AND PROTECT

Tiaki means to care for people and place. The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to care for New Zealand, for now and for future generations.

Contributing to this project was a truly proud moment for me. Working along side the talented team Design Works, we curated a series of pre-existing images from my extensive photographic archive. The imagery communicated the specialness of New Zealand while allowing negative space for logo and text overlays.

This was a very special project that saw Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand, The Department Of Conservation, NZ Maori Tourism, Tourism Industry Aotearoa, Local Government New Zealand and Tourism Holdings Limited come together in a bid to care for the future of our beautiful country.

By following the Tiaki Promise, you are making a commitment to New Zealand. To act as a guardian, protecting and preserving our home.

The final assets where used across the full media release, on inflight screens on Air New Zealand flights, in Auckland Airport and the the Tiaki Promise website. The website allowed individuals to make their own downloadable promise to share on social media.

CUSTOM ROAD TRIPS AROUND NZ

The best way to see our beautiful country is to drive it. I’m really proud to have been part of NZ Road Trip from the beginning. The brief was simple - head out on the road ticking off epic itineraries around the country and photograph it all as it unfolds.

This client was a perfect match to play to my strength of organic, candid capturing. Aimed at the 18 - 35 year old market, I wanted the imagery to be full of adventurous energy and really communicate that feeling of travelling with good friends.

NZ Road Trip are an absolute pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them again for the next roadie!

Disconnect from the distractions of everyday life and reconnect to nature. Dave & Keegan did an incredible job of putting together Hawkes Bay Escapes - one of the best glamping sites in New Zealand. They just needed the imagery to help prove it!

Hawkes Bay Escapes offers amazing glamping under the stars, fresh farm bacon & eggs and private farm tours. A uniquely Kiwi experience that deserved a unique Kiwi eye to capture it!

I captured my first hand experience of my stay to imitate the authentic nature of their beautiful business. The photography and videography combo was the perfect way to tell their story.

INFLUENCER MARKETING COLLAB

The launch of the new Samsung S9+ had ambassador, Jess Quinn thinking up ways to show off it’s epic new features. Wanting to demonstrate it’s water resistant capabilities, she enlisted my help for a little sunrise mission.

Jess’ concept was to play on the idea of perspective by inverting an image of her doing a handstand.

We of course made the most of the morning and shot a bunch of other cool snaps. The Images were shared on her Instagram in partnership with Samsung New Zealand.

PURITY IS THE ULTIMATE LUXURY

Sustainable sparkling water while minimising impact on the Earth. Kōpū Water is bottled in a recyclable, resealable aluminum bottle, that is designed with intention as the most eco-friendly alternative to glass and plastic.

Highlighting their ethos of sustainability, nature and adventure, I set out to capture Kōpū Waters’ bottle in beautiful locations around New Zealand.

This project was captured on an ongoing basis to provide constant fresh content to the Kōpuū Water Instagram and also placed in various magazine ads around the United States.

AUCKLAND BASED MAKEUP ARTIST

Makeup that plays to your features, not covers them up. Upon officially launching her brand new freelancing website, Rachel from Copper & Kohl found she was lacking high quality imagery to help reflect her level of skill & professionalism. Working together we wanted to create clean, beautiful content that would showcase Rachels expert talent.

In addition to the demonstrational makeup shots, we had fun getting creative with some flat-lays to act as relevant fill in content on the Copper & Kohl Instagram. This on brand imagery communicated the use of high quality product, comprehensive industry knowledge and her stunning classic style.

AMBASSADOR WORK

As more Kiwis opt to be tourists in their own backyard, Samsung New Zealand wanted to show the nation that there is no longer a need for an expensive camera to catch all the action – instead you can have a pro camera in your pocket with the Galaxy S9. I was able to tie this into my brand by adding the S9 to my professional photography kit.

The aim for this partnership was to drive awareness, conversation and engagement online for Samsungs new Galaxy S9+.

Adventuring along the West Coast of the South Island, we set out to highlight the new and improved camera, particularly the dual aperture feature which allows high quality images to be taken in low light. This came into play while exploring Fox Glaciers Ice Caves.

I had so much fun putting together this video edit of our adventures. I shot the footage on a mixture of the GS9 and my own camera to demonstrate how well the quality of the phone can sit along side professional camera gear.
